Growing up in a musical environment, Akpossoul naturally came with a background deeply rooted in music. Over the last decade, the DJ and producer has established himself in the house music scene. He is highly regarded in the international scene and recognized as a pioneer in blending genres such as Afrohouse, Melodic, Amapiano, House, and Soulful. He has received support from acclaimed artists like Louie Vega, Manoo, Jojo Flores, Boddhi Satva, Anané and Oscar P.

Having played in his home country of France and in numerous clubs around the globe, you can also find him playing for Montreal’s most crowded dancefloors on a weekly basis. Resident at venues like Baby, Sans Soleil, Le Mal Necessaire, Datcha …

Akpossoul also has events under his own vision, The Journey. The soulful afro house events hosted in Montreal nightclubs feature some of house music’s best names and live percussionists.

In Spring 2024, he signed on Anané Vega’s label NULU MUSIC the track “SAKANA” in collaboration with Gone Deville and Congolese-born vocalist Naxx Bitota. Selected as the Afrohouse Track of the week by Traxsource.

His first album is going to be released in 2025.
